HITCHIN - EXTENSION
Cathy and Chris have a very spacious four bedroom house close to the town centre in Hitchin, but the dining room had always felt a bit …. dark. Not enough light from their lovely rear gardens, and come to think of it, a larger sitting room would be nice.
Our in house designer spotted the potential, a ground floor rear extension that opens up that dark room and provides a huge social area, with light flooding in from three roof lights and fantastic glazed doors and side panels. Cue the orchestra - a transformation to brighten the dullest day, and wonderful views across those lawns and flower beds. A room for entertaining, listening to music or quietly reading a favourite book, or maybe just a well earned glass of wine in the evening.
On the first floor meanwhile….. we knocked two rooms into one to make a proper master bedroom with en-suite shower. This 1950’s Hitchin house just joined the 21st century with a bang. Well done Cathy and Chris, many happy times ahead in your new home extension.
